North Bay & Area RCIP 2026 Update 2

We are currently discussing our proposed 2026 Priority NOC and Sector lists with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Once we receive confirmation and approval for them from our counterparts at IRCC, we will provide an update on our website and to all Designated Employers.

In addition to these, we will also share upcoming intake windows, new eligibility requirements, and how the application process will evolve in 2026 to reflect the shifting economic landscape of our catchment area. Employers can expect various updates and changes based on the feedback our team has collected from our 170+ Designated Employers, successful candidates, and those who have not yet been eligible. Any changes made will echo the goal of the RCIP program across Canada – to help address labour market needs in priority sectors, such as healthcare, construction, manufacturing, mining, and education. Caps will also remain in place to ensure every employer has the opportunity to access the pilot program.

Lastly, please note that once our priority lists are updated, we require employers and candidates who have not yet heard back from our team to submit new applications (including those who applied in January 2026), should they remain eligible and on our NOC list. Thank you!
