North Bay & Area RCIP Monthly Statistics: December 2025
The month of December marked the end of the first calendar year for the North Bay & Area Rural Community Immigration Pilot.
In 2025 (June to December), the North Bay & Area RCIP program granted a total of 190 community recommendations. We received well over 500 applications. In December, specifically, 46 applicants were successful. There are currently 163 businesses designated.
Of the candidates successful in December, the average score was 94 points, representing an increase compared to previous months. The highest score was 113. Our numbers continue to highlight the quality of talent in both our candidate pool and communities.
The final candidate and sector breakdown for community recommendations in 2025 is as follows:
- 13 successful candidates from Business, Finance, and Administration.
- 53 successful candidates from Health.
- 47 successful candidates from Education, Law and Social, Community and Government Services.
- 34 successful candidates from Sales and Service.
- 43 successful candidates from Trades, Transportation, and Equipment Operators.
As mentioned in the North Bay & Area RCIP 2026 Update, the first Intake Period of 2026 will open in January.
The January Intake Period will be open from January 11, 12:00 am to January 17, 11:59 pm. Any applications submitted outside of our intake window will not be reviewed.
For January only, Priority Occupations and Sectors will remain unchanged. Any updates or additions to the NOC codes will be communicated beginning in February.
Discussions between Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and RCIP communities are still ongoing regarding 2026 allocations, priority sectors, NOC codes, eligibility requirements, and related program specifics. Please note that information will only be shared once details are finalized.
