North Bay & Area RCIP 2026 Update

Over the past few months, our team has been hard at work processing and reviewing hundreds of candidate applications from Designated Employers. We look forward to continuing this in 2026, with our first Intake Period of the year opening in January.

The January Intake Period will be open from January 11, 12:00 am to January 17, 11:59 pm. Any applications submitted outside of our intake window will not be reviewed.

For January only, Priority Occupations and Sectors will remain unchanged. Any updates or additions to the NOC codes will be communicated beginning in February.

Discussions between Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and RCIP communities are still ongoing regarding 2026 allocations, priority sectors, NOC codes, eligibility requirements, and related program specifics. Please note that information will only be shared once details are finalized.

We will also release additional program statistics for 2025 in early January.

Please note that our office will be closed starting Tuesday, December 23, and we will resume regular operations on Monday, January 5.
